Nile Pack is an Afro-Latino saxophonist, composer, and music arranger.  With his heavy influences from blues, jazz, and gospel, Nile is dedicated to keeping the jazz tradition alive while pushing it forward through original music and education. A versatile low reed specialist, Nile plays not only tenor saxophone but all other saxophones, as well as Bb and bass clarinet.  He is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts in Jazz Performance at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where he studies jazz saxophone and performs regularly in top ensembles, refining both his performance and compositional voice.  He's also performed alongside notable musicians such as Steve Wilson, Mathuin Smith, and Desiree Roots.  As a performer, Nile has appeared with a wide range of respected groups, including the VCU Jazz Orchestra, VCU Small Jazz Ensembles, and the Chantilly High School Jazz Band, a nationally recognized program. He was selected as a member of the Virginia All-State Band in 2024 and performed at the Virginia Music Educators Association (VMEA) Conference under the direction of Greg Thomas, a VBOA Hall of Fame inductee. Nile has also been selected for the All-Star Big Band at the Chantilly Invitational Jazz Festival multiple times and served as a section leader in the Mighty Marching Chargers, demonstrating leadership both on and off the stage.
